Nelson Honey South Island Beech Honeydew Honey 250g
This honey is the product of two insect types. Small scale-insects inhabit the beech forests and produce Honeydew, a sticky sap-like substance adhering to the insects and beech trees. The honeydew is then gathered by bees.
The sugars (Oligosaccharides) in this honey supports our intestinal function. It also has antibacterial activity similar to Manuka honey and higher levels of antioxidants than floral honeys.
This honey is great as a spread or with cereal, a sweetener in coffee or used as a food marinade.
